I want to be clear here, I take medication that may be saving my life so I'm not trashing all medicine, but I've been hounding this subject since I saw the JAMA story in 2015 which built upon earlier studies and STILL THEY SELL THESE MEDS ten years later.
Causing purposful dementia. It's not right. Kind of evil actually.
Certain medications still being sold have been clinically proven to have a cumulative effect in actually causing dementia. Are your meds on the list?
There is a clear and present danger in what is termed "health care" in America today, and that clear and present danger is from pharmaceutical drugs, the unknown effects of combinations of these drugs and drugs that do more harm than good.
On Jan. 26, 2015, the Journal of American Medicine (note: not some fly-by-night publication) published a study which at last, confirmed this specific group of drugs, everyday drugs you see in nightly commercials, actually will cause dementia.
Yes, you read that right, and I quote: "Researchers found that the higher a patient's cumulative dose of anticholinergic medication over the 10 years before entering the study, the greater his or her risk of dementia." Further, "researchers showed that it didn't seem to matter when the patient had used the medications during the previous 10 years; it just mattered how much the individual had used in total."
Given this information, it is hard to understand why these drugs have not been pulled immediately from the market as there are other ways to address the concerns these drugs are used for.
Again, given that "it just mattered how much the individual had used in total" you have to wonder why these drugs are still available in 2025 ten years later.
The study goes on to say "Studies have shown as many as 37 percent of people over age 65 use anticholinergic medications". What qualifies for alarming these days if 1/3 of people over 65 are taking meds that cause dementia?
Insane and demented. Why are these drugs still on the market? Why is this not a national emergency when over one-third of seniors are at direct risk. Contact your representatives while you still can remember to and demand these drugs causing dementia be removed from society. Wikipedia says they are the following:
Examples of common anticholinergics:

Doxacurium - Nondeplorizing skeletal muscular relaxant
Hexamethonium - Ganglion blocker
Mecamylamine - Ganglion blocker and occasional smoking cessation aid
Tubocurarine - Nondepolarizing skeletal muscular relaxant
It is not my intention to go into all the different drugs and their effects, but the list of harmful drugs goes on and on and even when a clinical trial, such as this one, proving what was suspected many years ago in clinical trial after clinical trial, so many are harmed before the drugs are actually taken off the market.
Here we have a clear and present danger affecting not only the 37 percent of people over the age of 65, but everyone else who will need to care for these mindless people into the future. Your government doesn't seem to care. You should.
The choice is yours, utilize drugs which manipulate your body in unknown ways when combined with the food you eat, the supplements you take and your lifestyle. Natural healing takes time. The better shape you are in the faster you recover from your ailments.
